What's it like really loving your dad?

So long story short,
I'm thinking of marraige, and one of the things that I found is stopping me is that I don't love my dad. Now I love him as a son does for his dad, but I would consider our relationship somewhat toxic, and so I somewhat Believe but it's more hope that it's just about people and nothing more. but I would like to hear what it's like , growing up loving your dad having that real connection , is it just in my head that it's possible to have a healthy relationship with your dad?
I'm asking so I can believe in my hope that I can give that to my kids.

Of course it’s possible. Do love anybody in your family? Your mom? Loving your dad is just like loving her or whatever family member you love. No difference.
