Are the names Emmy and Emma hard to distinguish for twins?

I’m pregnant my husband and I have been going Back and forth about our twin girls names. He likes the names I chose but says they’re extremely close to each other. Well I mean they’re twins that’s the point in my eyes. The names I’ve been going with are
Emma and Emmy or Amina and Amira
I’m not changing the names but are Emmy and Emma too close?

Definitely too close. Also you might want to raise them as individuals. I am a twin and my mother never dressed us alike and treated us like individuals. We had different interests and really turned out different.
Doing the whole "aren't twins cute" thing might be fun but think of how it will effect them.

Congrats on the twins! I think Emmy and Emma are such cute names for twins. It wouldn't be hard for me to distinguish those names but with enough practise for some people they'll eventually get it.

Emmy sounds like a nickname for Emma to me. The names Emma and Elena would be pretty, or Emma and Erin. Just something a bit more distinguishable.
