A FEW of my dads good deeds: A girl hit by a truck he Jacked the truck off the girls legs comforted her til the ambulance came. Saw a crying mom & babe by broken down car. Pulled over tolled car to his shop fixed it refused payment cuz the girl had fallen on hard times. After heavy rain climbed down a man hole saved a nearly drown pup. Made 3 day trip in 2 to get to me after a miscarriage. Yr later stay at my side during a 3 day labor. My ringtone for him: https://youtu.be/287ATMhVVO4

I do not have children, and my father died in 2007. I have helped to raise two step-sons but I have no heard from them since their mother and I divorced. I mentor many young men at one of the local universities so I have a bit of a legacy in many lives.

I am very sorry to hear that I sincerely hope that everything is okay, I know that when I found out that I had Collon Cancer it was already staged 3 and had a tumor in my colon the size of a Golf Ball inside my intestinal tract which had already Matastisised to my Lymphnodes so they had to remove 5 of them, If they remove any more than 3 it will kill me. Every day my Pitbull/Boxer follows me every where ever since I got back and especially during 8 months chemotherapy afterwards my kids are all grown up so now it is just me and him lol. He eats better than most people do he gets Grainfree Dog Food, Lean hamburger, fresh chicken, and snacks, fresh peas and carrots, steaks literally cooked medium rare, London Broil same way sliced into his breakfast and dinner Lol the big goof sleeps with me every night since I got over Chemotherapy Lol

Oh I'm so sorry you feel that way towards your father. I suppose I was blessed to have an amazing father. He's my hero and role model. To be half as good as my father would still be considerably a good accomplishment. I give thanks every day for him. We speak and see each others at least 4 days out week. We are constantly checking up on each others and helping each others out. I'd drop anything and everything in a heartbeat when my pa calls me and tells me he needs me. We helped each others for 5years to care for my grandpa (his dad) who had dementia. My dad and I make a great team.
I truly hope you had a great day and things get better for you.

I loved my own father with all my heart. My mother despised him.

I am sorry she was like that towards him. My mother claims to be in love with my father but she didn't appreciate him while she was with him but she claims to see the error of her ways. I am not in love with my kids father but I still arranged a family get together which included him. I had the children pick things out for him and fill out a fathers dad card. I might not be in love but it doesn't change how my kids feel about him and its important to teach kids how to celebrate these important days.

I don't get child support from my daughters biological father. I opted not to. I couldn't work things out with him. The Judge granted a restraining order. He really wasn't stable. We weren't safe with him. He'd shake my babe and threaten us with his rifles. When we escaped he broke into the shelter The cops came but he got away and they had to relocate me. So I never went for child support I wanted nothing but to be free of him.
Its sad. It breaks my heart. For her sake I wish he was different. my daughter has her step father as a father figure but it doesn't mean I don't worry almost every day how not having a good biological father in her life will effect her...

I'm sorry to hear that but I note that it took him apparently threatening your life to get you to let up on the child support. I'm sure that your new husband is perfectly capable of caring for you and your child in the manner that you would like.
