4th of July celebration?

I usually go up to my summer house and celebrate with my kids and a couple of friends. I have not done this in a few years because of covid and last summer I was recovering from surgery. It looks doubtful for this year too.
I will probably stay home, cook some steaks, watch some fireworks, maybe see a parade and hope for better days ahead.
I just watch fireworks
It's always nice š

Nothing. Iām going to chill with the fam and thatās it. Itās just another bullshit holiday like the rest of them. Nobody gives a shit about American independence, or the people that die to give it to us. They only use that for there own political agenda to make people feel how they want them too. So itās all bullshit. They all going to sit in there nice houses, or gather around pool or head to the beach, get drunk, fuck someoneās life up because they will make terrible decisions about drinking and driving and no one will bat an eye. Thatās how it is in America and no one give a fuck about changing it. So what will I do? The same I do with all holidays, not a mfāing thing!
my best friend finally became an American citizen after 35 years last week. we are going to celebrate a little bit harder this year
Absolutely understandable. How wonderful ā¤ š š tell your friend CONGRATULATIONS š š
Maybe shoot at a lake or something and just let the gunshot sounds mix in with the fireworks
The combination of food must just be amazing Omg I want to be at your fourth of July celebration Lmao
Going to a fireworks park when I get back Iām gonna shoot one of my very expensive fireworks off
Probably nothing special. Depending on the weather. Watch the neighborhood fireworks.
I'm English. I'll be drinking tea.
I know @aquariusmystery is my friend from England š¬š§.. you know each other?
Nah I donāt know him lol
Innit England isnāt that small
Oh well we have 350 million here in the new world if you count all the illegal immigrants. So I'm thinking at least in Africa you have modern life such as aircondition, correct? Cuz Aquarius here just informed me that in England that doesn't exist yet.
@Bratsondanielle we have Aircon in some places, yes. Of course we have corruption that makes Trump look positively angelic, and consequently we don't have reliable electricity supply to switch it on...
Well Trump was (and will be in 2024) the best president this country ever had. It sounds irritating with electric problems but living off grid like i do i assure you i can relate. I chose it thou so...
The uk isnāt primeval but ac only really exists in shops and restaurants because itās not cost efficient
@Aquariusmystery but it's nice when it's hot. I don't know maybe we're just spoiled in the USA but that's probably why it's called the great country in the world. A/c in every house and everyone has at least one car etc etc... in England I know most people ride the bus...
The bus isnāt so much a financial thing but itās more convenient particularly in London. Itās quicker to get to most places and as you can imagine we like a drink so driving isnāt a good idea
@Aquariusmystery plus you drive on the wrong side too so being plastered and... yeah... I hear you...
But to us the left is correct so itās nothing to do with that lol if we suddenly switched to right your comment would make sense
@Aquariusmystery oh.. I understood lol. Yeah it would be difficult for me if I had to š drive in the old world. Do British people do anything on 4th of July to š¾ celebrate? I mean technically you started what we turned into the greatest country on earth š šŗš²šŗš²šŗš²š¤
When we went to America my mum hired a car and was really confused because she had to drive on the right ahahah
No, to be honest we donāt even learn about it at school. I only know what 4th July is about because of American tv and stuff
@Aquariusmystery oh ok. Cool. Well I mean I probably don't know the king's birthday so I guess it's the same. I think his name is Charles but I'm not even sure...
We donāt have a king lolš¤£š¤£š¤£
@Aquariusmystery oh. I thought you guys still did that stuff. Well cool I'm glad you moved on then šš
We have a queen but she doesnāt do much sheās just a tourist trap
@Aquariusmystery you guys don't celebrate her birthday? I have a friend who escaped a country called Denmark and made it on a visa and now lives here in the greatest country on earth š ⤠and he loves it here in the šŗšø he's coming to my 4th of July party. But when it's the queen of Denmark birthday he's in front of the TV watching all day and the next. His wife usually goes somewhere because obviously here in freedom we have exactly zero relationships with any sort of monarchy (and actually it was part of the reason we escaped)
Some people celebrate her birthday but I donāt really care. The uk is shit but tbh america is going back to 1903 soooo
@Aquariusmystery I think you mean 2023 but it's actually in 2024 we can have a shot at getting the greatest president ever back in the oval
Man, you go off line for two days...
I'm an ardent Royalist myself. I think the Queen does less than she used to, but that's mainly because of her age.
She has a weekly consultation with the Prime Minister - every week for 70 years having to deal with the likes of Boris at one end and Churchill at the other. Talk about downward mobility!
We celebrate Guy Fawkes on November 5th, which remembers the Gunpowder Treason Plot when Fawkes and his co-conspirators tried to blow up parliament. I guess you guys might remember January 6th the same way in the future š
I can't tell if you're being ironic about 45. I listened to the hearing yesterday, so I really hope you are.
Trump? I love him!!
Sorry but trump is as much of a laughing stock as Johnson
@Aquariusmystery he's better than Biden
Questionable
@Aquariusmystery well if you lived here in the United States šŗšø... I mean it's really going crazy in every sense... the only good thing is the baby-killings have stopped, getting the dumb women on the pill like me and everyone else with half a brain. And supreme court ruled that 2nd amendment is a real thing lol. My friends in New York are happy.
Go swimming with family friends
i listen to music until the fire works are over
We donāt do anything
Work itās a regular day here
I speak American. It's a refined form of English. In America we say "let's go have a drink, homie" which is derived from the English "bullocks I say let's go to the fucking pub and have a foooking pint bullocks "
Here in the USA we call those calf
Lol oh
