Why do adult white people have bad relationship with their parents?

Every white friend I have, has bad relationship with their parents. They don't seem to care about their parents.

Assuming they're American, it's because of white culture in America. It's very individualistic. Therefore, white people have no central identity or culture, because their family structures are weak and there is no sense of community. This creates a snowball effect that creates even weaker families, because there is no one teaching them how to relate to one another. Because, remember, it's very individualistic. So no white person is going to tell another white person that they aren't being a good parent or treating their kids well. They won't even correct someone else's kid. Whereas other ethnic groups in the U. S. seem to have more of a close-knit community and more of a family-oriented culture.

The other half of this problem is that white American culture has a very strong antisocial and rebellious streak. Their pop culture has promoted misbehavior for decades. It's cool to be "bad.". So, the parents who DO try their best to raise their children into responsible members of society are undermined by their own culture, which is in essence an established counterculture.

TLDR: White people are really fucked up.

I had a mostly good relationship with my parents. My wife did too. My kids all have good relationships with me. Your parents were the outliers apparently.

I think it’s just happenstance.. It’s of course unfortunate they don’t have good relationships with their parents, but poor relationships exist among all races.
