How can I get my new friend in a group context if we met on a dating app and have no mutual friends?

We started off going on a few dates but then decided the vibe was more friends than partners. But we both enjoyed each other’s company so agreed to stay friends. I want to meet her in a group as I don’t like hanging out 1 on 1 with female friends too much, I find it difficult if I find them attractive. So how can I get her into a group context if she doesn’t want to go to things with my friends.

If she doesn’t want to hang out with your friends, she’s either not very outgoing or the friendship thing is just a smokescreen to let you down gently and she actually doesn’t want to see you anymore.


Assuming the best, let’s say she’s just not very outgoing. If that’s the case, you can just casually say something like, “Hey, that was fun. If you ever want to hang out again sometime, let me know!”


If she never invites you out to anything afterward, the “friendship” was just a smokescreen for a soft rejection.

No but I can understand it. Maybe she thinks it will be awkward if they ask how we know each other. Since we met on a dating site but are now friends.
