I’d absolutely buy an used car (like I did effectively). You pay a lot less money than the original value (also for cars with low km on it) and you don’t have to deal with dealers that usually try to scam you with insurances, warranties, optionals and useless things like that.
Ok, you can have surprises from previous owners and there can be (rarely) mechanical problems but everything can be solved and things usually don’t cover the cost of a new car. You can avoid most of problems if you go see the new car with a trusted mechanic.
I buy a new car and keep it for 12-15 years and get rid of it when it has 200-300K miles on it. A used car is just buying someone else's problem.
I have been through the new car deal. It is really not worth it.
