How do I get more attention and favouritism than my younger brother who is 13, and I am 16 from my family, and friends?

It’s so annoying, because he like acts my age, and stuff and people just favour and give him more attention than me. It’s ridiculous, and it really just makes think like what the hell, I’m older than him.

I'll give you a straight-cut, non bs answer to your question. The reason your brother gets away with a lot of the things you do, as well as gets all the attention and most of the love is because he's the youngest in the family. That's just how it is. And the sooner you accept it, the better it is for you.

Now you must be thinking "wait bro, that makes no sense!" and yeah, it doesn't, but that's how parents and adults behave around younger kids. And as the oldest kid in my own family, I relate to this myself on a personal level and I've seen it happen so many times in my own household. I have a younger brother who's six years younger than me, and even now, even though he's 17 years old, pretty much the whole house still has a soft spot for him and most of his actions are waved off by saying "aw he's just a kid, it's fine!" or "it's no big deal" and usually almost always when he DOES mess up big time, if I'm near the scene of crime, the blame falls on me because I'm the big brother, and that I'm the one who's responsible for the shit he did.

So what's the solution? There really isn't much you can do here other than to just accept it and deal with it, as harsh as it may sound. Your parents expect a great deal from you and treat you like the mature one of the family, so you'll probably get the full blown effect of any dumb shit you do as opposed to your brother, who'll just get laughed off. It may seem unfair and you may feel like everyone's against you, but in the coming years, you'll see how it's actually a good thing, in a sense. You're being hardened because you're seen as the responsible one in contrast to your brother.

Regardless, your parents still need to put some sort of responsibility on your little brother as well, because in the future if he sees that his actions don't bear any consequences, he'll start to see things like he can get away with anything, which can, God forbid, also lead him down a pretty dark rabbit hole and get him into some serious trouble, just because he was never told no by his elders. So keep an eye on him yourself and try to keep him in check on your own terms. If anyone tries to tell you otherwise, just tell them that since your parents don't seem to understand how to do their job, someone had to be the adult instead. It may seem harsh and cold, but they'll understand you eventually.
