Is it strange that most of your friends haven't gotten married or started a family and we are about to be 30?

None of my brothers are married. None of my close friends are married. None of my younger brother's friends are married. Only one of my older brother's friends are married. Only one of my cousins on my father's side are married. Only my mother's side only my cousins that are older than my older brother are married, all the rest are single. The only people I tend to run into that are married are people in their late 40s and 50s to 60s at work. Most of the guys in that entire circle of people have had many different relationships all the way back to their teen years. Some have had and still have very long term girlfriends like 5 or 7 years. Most of the guys have high paying jobs. Not much marriage going on from what I can see in real life past Gen X.

In my case, I'm talking about people that came out of college and instantly landed jobs making like $100K to $150K a year with signing bonuses on top at places like Amazon, Microsoft, Citrix, Lockheed Martin, Canon, etc. and shit like that. Most people I know are software engineers/computer scientists, mechanical engineers, industrial engineers, electrical engineers, biologists, indie video game developers, etc. Everyone owns homes, boats, etc. My cousin that got married on my father’s side works in GIS and runs an airbnb bed and breakfast. He married his high school girlfriend. My cousins on my mother’s side are both women elementary school teacher’s that married firemen. My brother’s friend that got married was a waiter/drug dealer that married a women like 5 years older than him. All the guys I know that aren’t married are doing just fine financially. It's more so the people that are struggling that got married.

Well, if you spend most of your free time doing things many women hate and avoiding women the odds are not in your favor. But no worries, you’re not even 30 yet.

Why do women hate video games or just being indoors?

Well, some women like videogames, but not many. Given how many men are addicted to them to the point it takes away from their motivation to go out and make money or pay attention to a girlfriend or wife, it is no surprise that it is a turn-off for many women. I’ve met many women who ended up with guys who sat around gaming during all their free time, or even when they should have been looking for work. And there are plenty of women who like being indoors, but you probably won’t meet them at your place of your friends’ places.

Not strange since it’s more costly for relationships and marriages are failing at astronomical rate. More people don’t want kids, and no good careers to start a family. Media shows extremely depressing upbringing of children, and people are scared of what’s being taught at school so there are more reasons to be in childless relationship long term. It’s also a bit disadvantageous for men in marriage. You have to really pick a good one and hope everything works out. My dad taught me many thing, but he always told me to never get married. I was really young. Probably only 7 and I didn’t even know what marriage was.

Meh. My friend circle is similar; most are single. The friends I have that have gotten married are generally in absolutely fucked relationships. I’m sure the video games aren’t helping you, but the state of relationships probably isn’t very inspiring for you.

Ehhh kinda, depends on where you are to an extent. Back home pretty much all of my friends are married, in steady careers and own houses. Where I am now some are in relationships, only a few own apartments and most are still living at home or with roommates. Cost of living through the roof kinda makes people not care about trying to settle down

normal is subjective. Common? we are. Marriage is not an obligation. I chose not to marry. A care free life appeals more to me. As far as kids. There are too many suffering in the world already, just because everyone want to procreate. I don't want to force one more soul into this mess.
