Having a kid with issues is probably one of the worst thing that can happen. I know several people whose kids are failing in school or are using drugs or have been arrested for various crimes. They did the same things I did when their kids were growing up. They coached sports and were involved with the school system and spent time with their kids. Still for some reason the kids did not turn out great. It is like having another full time job on top of the one they already have.
