My parents never kicked me out. But yes I help my mother out from time to time as my father passed away and she's on a fixed income. She raised 5 of us so it's not really fair that she didn't get more time in the workplace. So I'd say I owe her for that. She's still pretty self sufficient all things considered. Pretty good for a 79 yr. Old. I just bought her a new furnace because the blower went out on her last one. She still wanted to try to make due with out it and I was like at your age trying to tough it out through the summer without AC is insane. I know it sounds morbid but I told her it'd probably kill her. And her funeral would cost more than the furnace. She doesn't like to impose on her kids even at her own detriment. So I had to convince her she was doing us a favor by letting us fix it for her. It's the only way she'd have done it. 😂

If I was KICKED out, probably not. Depends a great deal on how I was kicked out...

My parents sort of kicked my sister out of the house because they wanted to be empty nesters and for her to move forward in life. Once my sister moved out, my parents moved out of the house we grew up in and later sold it.

So, in that case, yes, I'd help my parents if need be.

But if they were assholes when they kicked me out or didn't let me move back home when I was in a financial jam, then, no, fuck them. Besides, they'd have my sister to bail them out.
