Why is my family a piece of shit? And does it make me one too?

So my wonderful girlfriend and I went to see my father because he almost died and so we moved in to help. My girlfriend fixed the reason my dad got hurt by fixing his gear selector on his car and I changed his oil and we also put gas in it every week. And his fucking wife stole my girlfriends airpods and we asked her and him have you seen them and they said I swear to God I haven't seen it. And my girlfriend and I had a gut feeling they lied so I went in the house and looked under their bed and found them and I went to take my girlfriend to get her pizza and came back and my dad's bitch of a wife Said give me the fucking keys now and I said don't give me an attitude and she said I'm done so I told her explain to me why I found my girlfriends earbudds under your bed and she got all defensive and my dad said don't blame my wife for stealing and I said shut the fuck up and let me talk and they got pissed and said you belive your bitch of a girlfriend over us and I said the fuck I do because she has been in my life for 3 years and you have been in my life for 2 months. So was I justified to do what I said or am I a dick for turning my back of my family.
