Did I overreact?

So this week was my neighboring colleges homecoming. My friends go there and I go to the other school. We are all 21 or nearing it. Anyway. I walked to their campus for tailgating then they invite everyone to their room. They are in off campus housing. So we walked to the room. The wanted a plan to go get drinks but no one would drive. Eventually hey were like okay somebody was supposed to drop me off at my car and etc. we sit out side adn they never come back they they say. My car isn’t going cause I’m not going. What? Why not tell us that before we walk about side and wait? So we end up having ti walk back to my campus. Then they never got bottle they were going to drink thd bottles that we were bringing. And they told me to stop by the store and bring them stuff but couldn’t take me to my car. I felt upset so I didn’t go back over there now they are mad at me. Was I wrong?

You’re the guest. It was your job to cater to them and make sure they had a good time. You missed a great opportunity to reap long-term benefit and accolades. You should have chauffeured them, gotten their refreshments, rounded them up. In fact, you should have offered that on the front end. And hopefully would have had a second year to cater too them again.

What they remember about those “two years” was your Service. This is how you get jobs and is called networking. You had the opportunity to have a lasting Effect.

Huh? This isn’t a networking events. I know them all from my hometown. And I’m over there like every other day I just felt annoyed that day about it
