Dads are you strict with your daughters or more laid back with them?

Not strict but not no rules either. Also, the rules are equal for my boys and my girl. Some things aren't negotiable: be nice to mom, don't disrespect anyone, be kind, try hard at what you do, etc. Other stuff is a conversation of let me share what I think and we come to an understanding on it. More stuff falls into the category of obey the rules. School dress code is a great example. I don't like a lot of it and it pisses her off, but obey the rules (changing schools isn't an option). Still other stuff is in the category of know your audience and what's better or worse in a given situation. And there's some stuff like bring the trash cans in from the curb and help me get dishes in the dishwasher. But even that stuff isn't in my mind "strict" as much as it is you're part of the family and we all contribute to what the common goal is as well as these are life skills.

So In this Scenario yeah they can do what they want I’d tell them about condoms and disease and protecting yourself Against Invisible Dark forces and how condoms Protect against invisible dark forces but if they don’t wanna listen then That’s on them And they will have to Live with a incurable Disease but They won’t be living with me Touching my food Drinking my orange Juice I got in the fridge passing a Dark force Into my Orange juice and me getting Dark forced by the invisible forces not gonna happen.

My dad was very strict. I had to be home before the street lights came on, cook meals, clean, get straight A's, and I NEVER in my life said anything that could possibly even be mistaken as sassy, to my dad.

There's 3 parenting styles, you can look them up.

We try to be Authority figures. We are not strict, but we guide and put down rules, but give some space and flexibility. example. There's freedom and there's stupidity. We let her hang out with friend, but we know the friend and family.

ideally, you want to train kids so they can be independent and get a job post 18-24 years old. Give them room to make decisions and make mistakes and consequnces, without big mistakes and consequences. It's a gradual process based upon where they are at. This is a complex, expensive, and hazardous world. It's also amazing, fun, challenging with many wonders to experience. Which way it goes is based upon training and experience.

A little of both. We’ve told them of the risks of all forms of behavior. We can’t keep them locked up so we have to trust them at some point. And we’ve developed a relationship so they know that if they messed up they can come to us and we’ll have their back. They’ll still pay the consequences of their actions but having a nice warden as opposed to an executioner will at least bring them home before things get completely out of control.

Yes I was strict with my daughter, but my son also. This is a sick world that we live in and I wanted to know where she was and who she was with at all times.
I lost one child and the thought of losing another devastates me. I couldn't do anything to protect my first son but I do everything I can to protect my younger son and my daughter

I was pretty strict with all my kids They had curfews and we needed to know where they were going and who they were with. I imagine they got away with some stuff but they all turned out good .

My daughter is still young, just 8. I'm not terribly strict and don't plan to be. When it comes to clothing choices I'm far less strict than my wife.

I leave the disciplining to my wife. I play the part of a quick short lecturer. But they do know what gets me mad. Now they are much older though.

Both. They understand what behavior is acceptable and know there are rules to follow. But there aren't a ton of rules.
