I don't see there is a divide or you have to choose. Why wouldn't you like any social animal? There is not that many of them.

My tabby is sitting here beside me because he just likes hanging out with me. That I have a cat doesn't mean I don't like dogs - more that when my dog passed it felt disloyal to get another dog so I got a cat.

Yes my tabby doesn't like dogs so I am not going to inflict a canine flat mate on him. That doesn't mean I am a cat person and not a dog person. I like both.

I am a animal person in general. So I'm that person that some people hate. Because they might have a dog or cat that loses their shit when their owner tries to pet and cuddle them. But more then likely their pet want nothing more then for me to pet them tell my arms fall off and there dog or cat wants to sit in my lap.

I've had both cats and dogs, but for sweetness I like cats. It's always good that they can, more or less, take care of themselves, unlike a dog.

Adding to that, the fact that I've been attacked by many cats in my life, without provocation, is all that I need to know about why I'm not a cat person.

I will say that after the first cat attack, as a child, I've been very leery around cats, possibly triggering some predator instinct in the cats who have attacked me in the ensuing years.

Yeah, I'm still leery around cats.

I love both, basically I'm an animal lover, so i love most of the animals. In between cats and dogs, I like cats much but they are too destructive around the house and always destroy things, whereas dogs don't do that stuff too much. And being from a middle class family which cannot afford buying new stuff evrytime, I would prefer dog. In vats i like the ginger one and the grey one and even the black one. While in dogs I like alaskan malamute and then GSD or husky.

Cat's I'm totally a cat guy. But there are certain breeds of dogs I like, Golden Retrievers and Labs. My sister used to have a 1/2 lab 1/2 German Shepard that was adorable.

I love them both nut at the moment have 2 cats no dogs because my place is next to a cemetery their are alotbof mice around my place i had to get cats and they have become serial killers over 150 mice a year each (summer months only)
