In India, I live with my parents and 1 sibling. My house hold expenses, Family of 4 members. We own a big house of 7 rooms. Sitout, hall, kitchen, 3 bedroom with 3 attached toilets and bathrooms,
1 extra room. House Rent: No
Electricity bill : Rs. 3000/- per month
Air conditioner bill: Rs. 4000/- per month per AC
Groceries : 8000/- per month,
Petrol for 1 car : 5000 per month
Petrol for 3 bikes : 5000 per month
Phone bill 4 smartphones: 1000/- with 4g internet
TV cable bill 3 smart tvs: 1500

Gas bill: Rs. 1000/- gas refill per month LPG 14 kgs
Vegetables/ fruits: 5000 per month
Medicines for parents: 5000/ per month
Clothes washer maid: 2000 per month
Dish washer maid: 2000 per month
House cleaning maid: 2000 per month
If we order food online: breakfast+ lunch + dinner+ snacks = 35,000/- per month for 4 members

Total: Rs. 45000/- per month is our monthly spend in India. I have completed my education. I am not adding school fees and college fees here. If you take public transport, it will be much cheaper. People / family with 2 kids who earn more than Rs.150,000 per month can live a good life in India. They can buy a house, a car and spend enough. But they can't become millionaires. There are people in India who survive on 15000 to 35000 basic starting salary per month.

I'm from Pakistan. Just for comparison, how much is petrol in India? Here its about 260 pkr per litre which is roughly 95 inr.

That honestly sounds reasonable for a fam of 4 considering the crazy inflation out there. Unfortunately mine is a lot more. Its a good lifestyle but inflation is horrible here.
