How do I stop being jealous of rich kids who do nothing to make money?

There's a girl my age (20) in my city. Her dad owns 3 restaurants that are always bustling. Their family is rich and goes to Paris or Milan, wherever, all the time. Thousand-dollar gold bracelets and Chanel bags, you get the idea. She lives a good life because her parents work hard. She herself hasn't worked a single day in her life. She's just lucky that she was born in a rich and successful family. She spends all her time posting her collection of Chanel bags on Instagram.

Work gives your life direction. It makes you stronger and more self-sufficient. Work gives you a goal and it gives your life meaning.

This is called a real life and something she'll never have. She'll never learn to solve any problems. She'll never have a challenge that would make her stronger by learning how to overcome it.

Real character and being a real person is like exercising your muscles. It involves tackling everyday challenges. When you learn how to do this, just like exercise, you improve yourself.

This girl will always be weak because she'll never have to strong.

Start working to get it for yourself. Being jealous is human but it’s simply a waste of time comparing your upbringing and current financial situation to someone else’s. It won’t change anything in the past and it sure as hell won’t put that kind of money in your pocket now. The cards you got dealt say you’ve gotta so the legwork, so get to it if you really want it. Maybe one day you’ll be able to afford your future children $1000 bracelets and expensive trips.
