What do you think it's the maximum age for breastfeeding?

I have an Aunt, who had 6 kids all my cousins, all fairly close in age, one time I was over, she was breastfeeding one of the young girls age 2, however my my shock, once she was done my 8 yr old cousin latched on and it was like he was downing a sports drink, his hand was on the other boob, damn, I am was in shock but her husband my uncle died of cancer, she didn't have much money for food.

One thing for sure, she was lessening her chance of breast cancer. In less than 100 years society's opinion of what breast are for has changed drastically. Same for genitalia. Before the advent of radio and television Breast cancer and prostate cancer were almost non-existent. When I started in autopsy back in 1983 my first case was a woman who at the age of 97 developed a breast mass. Not 37 but 97. In my neighborhood lived a family who was very religious. There oldest son thought that sex was the reason for all veneral diseases. It certainly has its function in VD. But VD is not spontaneous. Their son died at 38 of prostate cancer. Name one muscle in your body that benefits from lack of exercise

It's unusual in the west past age 3, but normal as a species up to age 5.

It's technically harmless at any age, but it can lead to awkward social interactions because adult men typically view sucking on boobs as sexually arousing by age 8-12 (once puberty hits basically). The problem is the longer a mom does it, the harder it is to ween the kid off, because kids remember, babies usually don't.

I would say stop at 3 unless otherwises instructed by a doctor because of problems eating solids.

Studies show benefits up to 4 years old along with solid food. Me personally I'd probably go till 2 years old. It's for every mother to decide when. Not anyone else's business

That’s a fair reason to continue breast feeding a while in. I have heard of people continuing while in to a child’s life but usually it is because they are continuing to lactate and choosing to maintain their milkiness where most mothers want to stop as soon as they can. I think four was the oldest consistent milker I have heard of. But I think 2 is a fine age to stop it at too. My mom stoped at like 11 months. So… haha!
