Why do my parents keep secrets for me?

My sister is coming home two weeks and my parents won't tell me.

I asked my brother last night and he said yes she is coming home. Why i asked him is because i heard my sister last night saying to my parents she will collect my sister coming home.

I also heard my mother saying two nights ago "we won't say anything until they are booked" meaning my sisters flights.

I dont understand why they can't tell me. I feel not wanted there and my sister who is coming home, im not on good terms with her due to her invading my personal life.

Perhaps, they do not want you to get the idea that you must be consulted and have comment upon affairs that are out of your pay grade as a child?
