Would you get upset if everything that you said your parents said no/that you’re wrong but with your SO they always agree with them?

Like I mean, everything that I say they say no like for example if I say something like “if you have a sinus infection it could cause your gums to hurt as well” they’ll legit say no it’s true and everytime I state a fact or say that something happend they’re always like no. And it feels like I’m often talking to a brick wall but everything that my boyfriend says is correct to them my brother even said yesterday that it’s because my boyfriend is always right like wth lol I was the one that used to help my little brother with his homework. I don’t know but I feel like this might have caused my lack of self confidence because everytime that I say something is the way it is, or that something happend they always denied things. Would you get upset by this if this happend to you? Wouldn’t it make you feel stupid? I’ve also been trying to tell them that my brother has to eat vegetables but they don’t listen to me. Lmao and this morning my dad was arguing with me saying that plastic and rubber are the same thing 😂 like why can’t they just believe me? They only believe my boyfriend lol kinda makes me feel bad/dumb sometimes. But they also have done this to me all my life now as an adult though I feel stupid or like they view me as stupid.

One silver lining is they like your boyfriend. That’s great!! bc he can be their replacement for when you cut them off bc they are absolutely gaslighting the F out of you. Listen next time they mess with you just say NO I’m correct.

You can’t just say no to things are true to belittle someone do you realize how absurd that is 😂 anyhow just goodie chit in front of them. Or walk away. But didn’t let it make you feel bad. You have to decide for yourself what your back up plan is in each instant so you didn’t feel bad. You want you to feel empowered not bad.

When we take action we feel good even if it’s not happy. I’m not you so I can’t decide what works best for you. For me when people bs me I just whip out a dictionary or google or the medical encyclopedia 😂 or whatever it is I need to objectively verify the truth that they are lying or ignorant about and I unapologetically will shove it in their face 🤓

then depending on my relationship I laugh with them and their idiocy or I walk away from them if they are not well intentioned. I think for your own confidence it’s good to verify what you are sure you know then if you want you can just say I’m right you’re wrong I’m out.

but everyone is diff so decide how you want to Handle stuff. HOWEVER there are rules. You are not allowed to sit their abs feel dumb and weak. DO something whatever it is — put a note in a paper airplane and ship it across the room to them lol just do something’s and feel accomplished. Don’t sit and take it NOT ALLOWED 🚫
