If I made 45000 for the year and my taxes reduced all together throughout is 3227 do I owe 5500 or 2300?

Been looking at endless calculations (I have 2 jobs and I screwed up on my form which is why I owe so much despite only making about 20 grande for the year at both jobs). Am still confused though if you know I would really appreciate it! Just trying to figure out what figure its closer to overall.

I don't understand the numbers you posted. Plus there is not nearly enough information. You need to fill in the forms and see what it works out to.

Having two jobs doesn't matter on how much you owe. But it does matter on how much is deducted from your checks.

Is 45K your total gross income from both jobs? Is 3227 your federal taxes deducted from your checks?

Yes the 45 is the total combined from both jobs for the year.
And the 3227 was the total deductions for the year all together.

OK. But there is still not nearly enough information to calculate what you owe, or what you might get back. You need to fill out the tax form with all the deductions and any other sources of income like interest at the bank.

Have you done your taxes before?

Yes I already filed them. Just waiting hear back was just wondering if someone could give a rough estimate but no problem ill find out soon enough. Thank you:)

Get TurboTax, carefully go through every step and answer the questions it asks. Don’t try to fill out your 1040 and related forms by hand. You’ll miss a lot of credits and deductions.
