Do you actually like spending time with your partners friends or do you count the seconds until hang out time is over?

That depends on the friends lol
Some of ur partners friends u can vibe with and befriend them urself if u'd like. Some you would maybe find annoying, etc.
Personally, I enjoy being "1 on 1" w someone, or in small groups, and then I usually do enjoy the company, however when it's big groups my social energy depletes and I count the seconds xD

Overall I enjoy my partners friends although one of them (and his girlfriend) have this annoying habit of "getting too comfortable" every now and then. Overall, I like them very much so fortunately it is not too frequent.

Once every 8 months, they do something a little irritating that we have a small argument over (they need to stop asking to borrow our car on a weekly basis, they need to stop telling me how to cook in my own kitchen, they need to stop using us for free laundry).
