Probably not, since all my ancestors obviously managed to survive whatever the 1500's decided to throw at them.

Had I been born in their place, then I presumably would have made it, too.

I flipped the question damn... I read it and knew: no survival for me. Instead of yes I would have died.
So I am sure I would have died. Not sure if I would have killed my mother with me or just me. hmm...
