Think about it, you live for 2000 years and your life is only JUST beginning. You live to see the end of the world as we know it and your life is JUST beginning. You live millions of years, long enough to witness dolphins become sentient and humans die out and your life is JUST beginning. You live a few more billion years and watch as the sun explodes into a red giant that swallows the earth and your life is JUST beginning. It goes on forever, I’d want it to stop at some point, I don't know about you. Mortal beings can never fully understand the concept of how long “eternity” really is and it shows in stuff like this.
