Trust me on this one dude, you don't want to be the guy with a lot of female friends.
First and foremost, it will get to the point where they're the only friends you'll want to have and your male friends will dissipate.
Secondly, you'll start to become more feminine and start thinking like a chick. This will make finding an actual girlfriend more difficult.

A few years from now, you'll be a different person and you won't like who you are anymore. I learned this stupid lesson the hard way, like everything else in life.

Women are for love. Nothing more. Keep it that way

1) Treat females platonically; stop staring at their breasts, butt, or crotch.

2) Per #1, stop watching porn. The real world doesn't work on porn logic, and if you watch porn you're going to subconsciously expect porn logic to take place in the real world, and that will screw over your chances to find a female friend.

3) Go participate in social community events (art club, fitness class, community choir, church, etc.) and don't go there specifically to find women, go there to have fun and be helpful. If there's a woman you find yourself talking to frequently, that's the beginning of a friendship.

Get a job. I don't even mean that as an insult, but the best way is to be in environments where you're forced to interact with the same people every day. This can be your job or at college.

Also, treat them how you would your guy friends. Do not get female friends with the intent of dating them. It's not cool.
