Guys and girls when it comes to addictions have you ever made or broken a promise to quit it?

Happens to me allllll the time but tbh that’s because I haven’t truly put the effort into staying clean. If you’re “newer” into your addiction then it may be easier to quit while you’re ahead but if you’ve been years deep into using a substance and decide to quit cold turkey then it’s very likely that the promise you made to stop will always be broken. Relapses are inevitable, unless you REALLY work hard to stay away from whatever you’re trying to cut out of your life then you’ll almost always relapse
