Is it pointless the work my aunt and I do? We are christian and my sister is always asking us to do prayer for her and her family. My sister told us she felt scare in her home so my aunt and I made an appointment with our pastor to do a blessing. My sister loces collecting souvenir sine she lives to travel. She went to Mexico , Africa , Hawaii and she she has a lot of cultural mask haning on her wall. The pastor td my sister she needs to throw away those mask as they are demonic from the kingdom of darnkness , My sister refuse to believe. Now when my sister wasn't home my aunt and O grab trash bags we threw away all the mask , Aztect , Egyptian Statues that my sister colleceted because its demonic later when my sister came she got angry at my aunt and I. Why ask for help if your going to refuse.

I would have just given her the message that those could be a possible cause of her fear and let her decide what to do.


It sounds like you’re implying she thinks her house is haunted. I suppose it’s possible that those items may have been a cause, depending on what they were. If they were items for occult or pegan practices perhaps they may have been the cause. However I doubt it.


Most hauntings and forms of demonic oppression or demonic passion are the result of actually being involved with the occult in one way or another, either by direct participation or someone having done that in the home.


Non Christians do not have God’s protection from the spiritual forces of darkness.


I don’t hyper spiritualize things regarding the supernatural. Yes, demons exist. So do angles. However demonic possession is extremely rare. Demonic oppression is slightly more common when speaking of the supernatural specifically but still not extremely common. Hauntings are more common than both, but these are demons who are causing the supernatural events NOT departed human spirits.


When it comes to evil behavior in regards to people, most of it is not the result of demonic possession. Humans by nature are in a default position of being sinners. The result of this fallen nature is sin in many forms. Wicked behavior is common place to humans due to our fallen nature. The unsaved have only one choice. To live in sin. They are in bondage to sin.


It is true that Satan does supernaturally influence the unsaved according to scripture but a good majority of human evil is not the result of this, but rather the result of being enslaved by sin.


I reject many if not most Pentecostal beliefs regarding the supernatural. They say for example: if a person cusses a lot, it’s because they are affected by the demon of cursing. If a person lies a lot, it’s because they are affected by a demon associated with lying. This is pure crap and is not at all supported by scripture. They also “speak in tongues” babbling in what they believe is a supernatural language that only God can understand. This is also pure crap. Speaking in tongues was simply the supernatural ability to speak in languages unknown to the speaker for purposes of communicating the gospel. It was the ability of say for example a Greek speaker to speak Chinese when they did not know the language NOT some babbling nonsense in some supernatural language only God can understand. Their “speaking in tongues” is NO supernatural thing but rather is called glossolaila. See link posted below. Then there’s the Charasmatics who also do all that, and believe in being “slayed in the spirit.”


All of these things are from charlatans. They have no biblical backing. They give Christianity a bad name and hyperspiritualize everything. Truly Catholic doctrine is far more biblical than this nonsense, and they’re wrong about a great number of things.


I reject many Pentecostal and Charasmatic teachings regarding such supernatural things. These doctrines are dangerous, unbiblical and in fact are nearly if not absolutely a modern form of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Yes Sir, My sister has always love to collect antiques , Actully it was my first time I saw those weird creepy looking africa Hawaiian mask. Well honestly now that you bought up the wholencult thing. Yes my sisterhas been complaining about it since she attended this Jehovas Witness cult stuff. I don't know about catholic church , Catholic idolized Sculptures and statues which is against God's rules. That whole worthship so called statues. My grandmother had this creepy Fatima Mary statue that always give me the creeps I felt her eyes followed me everywhere. And priest are evil people. That evil woman so called Mother Theresa stole money from donations and that hospital was kept in horrible conditions. Thisncrazy woman used the same needles on all her patients that was disgusting that hospital was kept in horrible sanatery conditions. Catholics forced nuns to get abortions amd priest were abusers narcissistic people. Yeah catholic people are way far from Christianity. All catholic people live a worldly life.

Not all those particular items are demonic. Some can be just art. No more no less. Is the statue of David art? Yes, its just art. Venis statue art? Yes it is. Statue of Apollo holding up the world, yes. The Thinker statue, yes.

I don't know of many Egyptian statues except the different "gods" they prayed to back during Moses' time. Are they considered art now? Most likely.

Think your priest over stepped a little in his teaching. Maybe that's why she dismissed. But you 2 way over stepped by throwing them out. Should have been her decision not yours.

Just being honest. Because if someone regardless of who they are walked in my house and started throwing stuff out, I would be mad too. Normal reaction.

See, you mention she bought a new house. Did she have those items in her old house and if so was there paranormal activity there?

If so, then there may be something to it. If not then those items are not likely the cause.

She should first rule out every and any natural cause for the paranormal events she thinks are taking place. If there are no natural explanations then it must be determined if she has been involved in the occult, which certainly can result in paranormal activity.

I strongly doubt those items are the cause of any paranormal activity unless they are items directly used for occult or pegan practices and even then I doubt it.
