I rag on my mom when she buys things she doesn't need, although thats only when I learn about it which is rare being a days drive away.

Unless your being irresponsible you could always get anther bank account which she doesn't have access to.

Why does she have access to your finances? Is she still supporting you? If she is, she can kind of have a point. If she isn't, make proper changes to isolate your money.

She supports me in a way. I live in her house, and she charges me less then she would charge someone who's not her son.

That's fair. I would say that maybe the dynamic between you and your mother is still that of a child and mother, vs an adult child and mother. You're always gonna be our babies, even if your 50! Lol. But maybe it's time to lay down som ground rules with her.
