Whenever I go to my boyfriends family gatherings they are always speaking another language and it’s hard to join in?

Whenever I go to a family gathering with my boyfriend of a few months, they are always speaking their language. Sometimes my boyfriend leaves me. I try to speak to his family , for example his sister but she isn’t very talkative and soon reverts back to their language speaking to them. His mom can’t speak English at all. Other family members don’t really seem interested in speaking to me. So I don’t know what to do.

Should I keep going or tell him I want to reduce the times I go?

That’s painful both ways, to be with them and don’t understand what they’re saying and to reduce your visits to them.
