I don't like the way my father treats my mother. He's misogynistic and rude. I want to do something about it but I don't know what?

He's not completely bad. I know how much he cares about the family and I can see his sacrifices for us but most of the time I'm really pissed because of his attitude. I can't stand up to him because I live in his house and I can't disrespect him but I wish he'd stop treating my mother like a push over and give her the respect and love she deserves. I want to say so many things to him and tell him how he fucked me up because he wasn't a loving father growing up but I just can't. I don't have the guts.

He's the provider. He provides with a roof over your head and food in your mouth. You and your mom are living off of him. He has the right to complain. He's the man and he should be treated like the king that he is.

He was there for you that's you and your mom have a warm bed to sleep in.

You can’t change it, as he’s been like that a long time. But you can talk to him and tell him how that behavior makes you feel. Also if he becomes a grandfather tell him it will affect his relationship with your children
