How old where when your parents start allowing you to date or they didn't care and parents when did you let your kids start dating?

I don't know, as I didn't date until I was an adult. She always encouraged me to get an education though first. I'm not sure if my father would have been as encouraging, as that perspective might stem on cynicism towards men and encouraging her daughter to be independent and not rely on others for help, as she has been disappointed by people too much in her life. Because obviously the downside of getting an education first is that girls are less fertile as they get older. I think that as long as parents teach their daughters about the male brain early on, so that the daughters avoid bad decision making, girls should be mentally strong enough to be allowed to date in early teens, while they still have their parents for protection and support after breakups. As for boys, they should be encouraged to date early on as well, and not put all their efforts just in doing well in school, as girls don't care if the guy is rich if she never gets to see him.

They didn't care but I saw dating as pointless until I was an adult. I don't know what age I will let my kids date. They are still young. It depends on how mature they are.

I think my mom was okay with me dating once I turned 16 but I didn't get my first boyfriend until I was 18 and even then it took me like almost a month to tell my parents that I was dating someone and even before I told my parents I texted my friend to ask her for advice because I was really nervous about how my parents would react
