She’s 4 years old. I do not have a lock on her door and if I yell at her my step mother gets very angry and I shouldn’t yell at her kid.
But she messes with my stuff and throws a fit that I yelled at her

Use a rubber wedge at the base of the door, you can buy them from hardware stores or one of these travel locks which you can use while you are in the room (picture at the top) or if you have the tools handy you could fit a separate bolt onto the door see the second picture which you could throw when you leave the room as you'd drill a round hole through the door just large enough for the star key

.
You can't seriously be having this problem at 25.
Most comments said it always, either put a lock on the door or move out.
Personally I recommend moving out.
You might have to settle for smaller diggs but at least you'll have full independence which it priceless
Your 25!
So just leave Legos all over let her crawl or step on those!
Also she probably does it to make you yell at her for attention then get your parents to give her hugs.
There is a thing called a door stop! Look on Amazon for door lockers that use the door itself and a separate lock!
Really just move out get your own place!
Thanks and yeah. Just hard times in this economy. I was living on my own for a while
Well creative solutions she is 4
I think a bed monster living in your room or closet is in order
Thanks
Dude, you're an adult. Either put a lock on the door or move out

Move out. It'll be super hard for her to get an uber across town to continue to do that.
put up stuff at your door that she understands means no entry. whatever she wants to do in playing and learning, do that in some other area. She's seeing you as the leader and looking to you.
be a good brother, it will make a big impact on her life. she didn't ask for any of this...
Yelling is never a solution.
Actually, she accepted you more than you accepted her.
Suggestion: find a way that she understands that messing with your stuff is not what she's supposed to do. Place a ''bait toy'' for example.
Otherwise: why not enjoy to have a quirky 'little sister' now?
Myself, I got a ''step grandson'' since a while, and he's indeed sometimes a bit of a... disturbance. But the times when he's a delight are a lot more frequent.
Make a DIY Lock using a Fork , or use a chain and nail..
If she is 4 yr old.. use something as Barricade to keep door closed!..
I used to live with annoying little shits too. I would just put something heavy in front of the door. I used 50lbs dumbbells. Them little weaklings can't move that kinda weight. Not like me. I'm strong.
Get a door stop and put it reversed at your door. Put your dresser in front of your door. Put various objects one can step on in front of your door. Buy a door lock (not door knob the 1 sided kinda like a hotel) and install it yourself
Keep on yelling. It's the only way she will learn.
People always think it's going to be like the Brady Bunch. It never is. I would get a lock for your door and do the install yourself. You can find a YouTube video that will show you how.
Whoop her ass next time or buy a lock from Home Depot and put it on your door.

Buy a door lock.
Turn the light off and make demonic noises.
Get a lock for your door.
Tie her up when she comes in
I wish lmao. My dad would be pissed off and my step mom would go crazy.
LOL
Then deal this with love, she is just 4 , she can't be purposefully evil
True lol. She’s not always bad.
