Mother told me she blocked my sister the day before Thanksgiving?

She said when she calls she doesn’t answer so she blocked her the day before Thanksgiving. What’s up with that? Now she literally can’t even talk to you at all. I’m also not sure if I buy it that my mom was really trying all that hard to call her. I don't know I guess I don’t get it. I don’t think I could ever block my son esp on a holiday.

well, I really hope it never reaches to that point but yes... unfortunately, that happens sometimes... and it doesn't happen overnight

probably something that's been ongoing for months, perhaps years... and then the holidays can become a more stressful and triggering time and can makes take such drastic actions... it leads to this kind of frustration

yeah, has to be something more going on that you don't know about. Or maybe your mom is just temporarily pissed that she really did try to call, and your sister didn't answer so she's trying to teach her a lesson. I have a friend that lets everything go to voicemail and it's annoying af. I can see it bothering family quite a bit more.
