For us, we tend to talk about the experience of one day carrrying a life in our belly, the joy of holding him/her for the first time, the joy of motherhood, etc.
For men, it's more like the experience of being able to knock up a girlfriend or wife and passing on his legacy and genes for the next generation.
So there isn't too much difference isn't it? Both seem consists of the components ego and pride in that joy. So is it similar excitement for both genders after all?

No a lot of men want kids. It’s not about who, or pride or bragging rights about knocking up a chick. I would never brag to my bros that I knocked up my girl. A lot of men genuinely want a family.
I don't mean it in a bragging manner but rather a different type of happiness, an excitement of creating a new life.
Some guys love having kids
Interesting. I've noticed the men that want kids, for them it's like a ego/pride to knock up a woman and create a new generation. It's the similar excitement when we are carrying a new life. In the end, it both genders are displaying excitement at creating a new life.. similar concept.
Right, but some guys enjoy playing with their kids hanging out with them you know being a dad
