I get why women would and should prefer to be housewives and not work, but most modern women in the West simply don't qualify for the position due to high body counts, history of sex work, single motherhood, lack of domestic skills, and an unwillingness to submit to their man. Most of the time when women say this they just want a rich guy to pamper them, pay for maids to clean the house, restaurants for food, and nannies to deal with all that messy baby stuff while they go out shopping and to the spa. They almost always want to be modern women and still get traditional woman benefits but it doesn't work that way.

Don't get an oversized house and a wastefully expensive vehicle trying to impress strangers. Then life becomes much easier and you can have money saved up while working a normal job. People don't need to be wealthy, they need better money management skills and to be less concerned with impressing strangers.

Why is it the man's responsibility if the family is lacking income? It's like this person imagines women get pregnant a good month after meeting the man. Realistically, it's on both of you. If you don't have financial security and you choose to have kids, that's both of your faults. Build a life with him, a home, a safety net, before you can even think of raising children

Basically she's saying a woman only loves a man for what he can do for her.. And not the partnership.. A man should be able to provide but it would be a bit sad when as soon as he is maybe struggling so is your love for him.. Doesn't sound like the love was there much at all..

All standards have consequences.
It isn't about whether one is the right or wrong answer, but about what results from it.

But the statement about it not being selfish is bullshit. Everything everyone does is selfish. Selfish isn't a criticism. Children are an extension of the self. That is why life reproduces in the first place. Genetic persistence. Anyone who believes that investing in their own offspring is somehow non-selfish is utterly deluded.

basically true and I have no problem with women having their criteria.

but I've seen women love their poor broken husbands and carry the weight. poor people may feel ok to some extent in their poverty, for it's all they know or believe.

It's only true if the woman is kept to high standards as well (she's loyal, kind and caring) and does not intend to sacrifice her children for her career, which would logically invalidate it.
