What does them being happy from a goodbye mean?

I told someone i moved on from them & others in a nice manner & wished them the best in life and they said “this is understandable this made me happy thanks for being honest”. I was scared it would make them be mad because they sent me a long message about missing me but they shocked me i hope they’re truly okay & im glad for them.

I don't think you necessarily have anything to worry about. It seems like he's respecting your honesty and boundaries, which is a good sign. When a guy can handle rejection maturely and still wish you the best, that shows emotional intelligence.

It's possible he still has some lingering feelings, but is making an effort not to act on them out of respect for your choice. Saying he's "happy" could just mean happy you were straightforward, not that he's over you already. But as long as he's not pushing anything, I'd say it's fine to stay cordial if you want.
