How to deal with a friend who texts me about unimportant things?

She will text me very pointless messages like about her laundry/ she’s at Walmart and she always will call me while she’s in the car so she doesn’t get bored while driving. I feel used but too scared to hurt her feelings

The way this master sees it you should feel lucky she cares enough to reach out. Saying it for a reason for even family members ditch you and all of that because "you" are above them. Answer politely or drop her. hahaha

She also lives in another country with different time zones and I’m finding it hard to keep up because I’m at work while she’s just getting up and I’m getting into running which takes up a bit of time in the evening. She expects to text all throughout the day and it’s only been a week with no contact and she sends messages “I miss you”

Explain to her that’s hard for you to always respond because of the time zone and that you can’t always pick up when she calls cause you have other obligations
