Its good for mothers to set boundaries when they just given birth?

My sister had just given birth to twin baby boys. The doctor require my sister to rest and inform her about RSV how dangerous it is for babies. The nerve of people one idiot from my sister friend decided to nocked at her door and she had covid. I told my sister under any circumstances she is not obligated to allowed people to harass her just show up at her door unannounced because they feel they have the right to see the baby. I made a sing threw the window that my sister is asleep and she isn't getting visitor at this time. Secounds later her friend calls and says but I'm alredy here. I told her well to bad I guess you will have to freeze your ass in the snow if she keep insisting iI will call the cops and have you arrested.

boundaries are an absolute must when you're talking about a newborn and mother. some people just don't care for some reason and will want to hold your baby, etc. but those kinds of meetings will have to be later on. in no way is the mother being rude for requesting and setting boundaries

Yeah they need a week to recover and get settled in, inconsiderate people can wait to see the baby. I understand they are happy for them and all that good stuff, but mothers aren't obligated to turn their own house into a meet and greet after they give birth.
