It's possible and have heard of it happening but it's usually reserved as last resort for extremely severe cases. For instance, finding out your father is a child molester or killer can be an example. If it's just the usual misunderstandings, arguments or your parents don't like your spouse too much for a valid reason, obviously don't disown them for that.

I don't even want to imagine how the Kerri Rawson, the daughter of notorious "BTK" serial killer Dennis Rader must have felt at that moment.
