My grandma told me it’s disrespectful and rude to sleep in just my boxers and no shirt. Is she overreacting?

She is visiting us right now and saw me come out of my bedroom in just my boxers to go the bathroom across the hall. I was half asleep. My morning wood had already gone down before I walked out of my room, so she never saw the tent in my boxers at least. Its not like I did it on purpose. Is she overreacting or am I really being disrespectful?

Over reacting! She has an outdated attitude. My guy and I are always sleeping nude which is not for sexual reasons. We just hate wearing night attire. My brother is the same, and so are my mum and her partner.

i think it's more disrespectful to tell people what to wear in their own house when you are just a visitor. tell her that.

It's certainly not rude to sleep like that, but it's rude to leave your room dressed like that when your grandmother is around. Throw on a robe or something.

If she feels uncomfortable about it, that should be reason enough to not do it.
