Do you ever just get a feeling someone doesn’t like you even though they never tell you?

I tend to err on giving people the benefit of the doubt there, especially on the internet since it's kind of difficult without the body language.

Online communication really makes me feel blind that way. I can't see if someone genuinely laughed or even smiled at my attempt at a joke, I can't see if they took like 15 mins to write a short reply if they're busy or getting tired of talking to me, etc. I always find it very awkward not being able to see each other this way, especially since I'm a goofball and have a really bizarre sense of humor at times; I especially want to see the way people respond and it throws me off that I can't.

In person, I sometimes err the opposite way, since if someone seems very unresponsive, or they have guarded body language, they might genuinely not want to talk to me or anyone else. I do take careful note of body language that way.

On the flip side, I used to be a shy teenager so I do tend to give more of the benefit of the doubt than others. One of the things that shocked me when I was a shy teenager that I overheard from acquaintances is that some people thought I was incredibly distant and disinterested in talking to them when I was just shy. So if someone seems shy, I will assume shyness first before I assume disinterest.

I'm college I remember this girl was letting me have it about something I don't remember. Finally I grew tired of her bitching and said: "you don't like me, great, get in line. It starts that way..." 😂

Yes, I know when someone doesn't like me. They also know when I don't like them.

Once I let my Math teacher know that I didn't like her and I knew she didn't like me either. It was a scandal! 😂😂

It's easy to get people to hate you. It's a lot harder to get them to like you. You can't please everyone all the time
