How many good friends do you have?

I think young people over estimate how many " good " friends that they really have , really good friends for most people change over time..

For example I had 2 good friends , relationships over 25 years , one is now dead ( we didn't talk for years prior , and the other we are also estranged. Acquittances and family , well thats a different issue.

If you are not seeing these " good friends " all the time , are they genuine friends? Time will tell. When I was 23 , I would have said " I have all these great friends " , they were not really , just ones who passed though my life.

not counting my actual partner, like 2. but even then, we're not as close as we used to be.
