Both , when I was younger , I blame my older brothers’ for instigating me to do so , they instigated me to do a lot of dumb shit , we laugh about it now that we are older but I bust their balls for instigating me to do so . So to me , it ’ was a learning experience is how I look at it , I was always considered broad for my age and sadly a lot of people were intimidated by me and I was considered a good fighter , when people tried to bully me , I would knock them the fuck out if they tried crossing the line with me , even though I can fight , I don’t really like to fight , unless I really have to , or to protect someone else that I care about , that I felt , they couldn’t defend themselves. My instincts will kick in , and do what I had to do. Most girls’ I dated loved that I am a protector when shit gets out of hand. I don’t just beat up people for the hell of it. Someone has to really push my buttons for me to attack , if they push my buttons to extreme, I pretty much turn into a beast mode cuz all I see is red basically , I honestly don’t like getting to that level , I tend to try to de escalate the situation first , basically giving them a warning to back the fuck up. But some people don’t know when to stop. I also use to work as a bouncer and I had no problem breaking up fights or throwing people out , I made some good money doing it. Now my son is just like me , it’s kind of funny to watch , he is a lot like me when it comes to people crossing the line , and I witnessed him knocking people out that deserved it

i was short n nerdy so i couldn't bully. one kid i hated, but i was too small to bully him.

i tried insulting him but he ignored me so i stopped trying. when i stopped, he made effort to make a friendship with me.

as a small nerd i was the "target" of the big cowards trying to show how "strong" they were without any risk! lol. stronger than weak is not strong! lol.

like iraq defeating kuwait... coward.

once a kid pushed me which is more "power force" than a bad evil hit, so worse crime, but he did it when nobody saw so i defended myself with a pencil. and nobody saw. or do i wish i had done that?

from then on he bullied punching a different nerd. when he accused me to parents i said "he is making it up".

No, not really. I mean there’s always mean girls who will be mean, and I had one or two mean girls give me crap over the years, but I always managed to either brush it off, or come out on top! One great example was the summer after I graduated to high school but before college. I was 16 and I received a Jeep Wrangler for my 16th birthday. Everyone I knew got Mercedes or BMW convertibles, and one girl was trying to make fun of me because I drove an “old truck", and that they were for “poor people”🙄 . But people loved my Jeep so much, that whenever we went anywhere, my friends would actually argue about who got to ride with me. (It also didn’t hurt that it would get parked out front of night clubs with the exotics, and she would see it there!) Then I learned that the following fall, she was driving an '87 Wrangler to school! I wasn’t there to silently gloat in person, but I did get a giggle after I heard that.

Bully’s and mean girls alike are just insecure about themselves and their own lives. To them, making someone else feel smaller allows them to feel better about themselves. They are actually quite sad, and they rarely live happy successful lives! Just know, if you were bullied, while you bully may have seemed to have a better life than you, in truth they were extremely unhappy. Happy people do not denigrate others!

I was emotionally and verbally bullied from grades 4th to 7th and had to deal with a couple jerks in 8th grade. I don't recall bullying anyone. Though I did once punched a female bully in 7th grade that wanted to desperately start a fight with me for no reason at all. I got cornered by her and others. In my mind I was wondering what on earth just happened, what did I do to get hated so much, what's going on, why am I involved in a fight I don't want to, etc. I reported this to the office but the shocking part was both of us were going to get suspended unless we make peace, lol. She cried, apologized (didn't realize it was fake and I fell for it), and supposedly was my ''friend'' afterwards. Nope, she faked an entire friendship for the rest of the school year.

I only punched her once and that was enough to get me in trouble too. Unbelievable. I was surrounded by a group of idiots, a couple others that were pushing her towards me and both her and others insisted on a fight. I felt cornered, as if ambushed. When I recalled that event, I wonder why on earth would I get suspended. The fact that I only hit her once (not twice, not many time, just once), sounds like really self-defense.

I was bullied somewhat, less than some, more than others.
I lived.

I once joined in with others in bullying another kid.
The guy was a genius and had a rough time fitting into the social world of a public school.
After several seconds of my joining in, I suddenly felt so ashamed of myself and immediately stopped, apologizing to the guy later after the ruckus ended.

Decades later, from what I know of him, he's made a success of his life.

From grade school on... (patrol boy) and later, both two military tours and a career in Law Enforcement.

Yeah, in the 9th grade. I bullied 2, I guess dorks, or brainyacts. One was so tall and had a foot reach on me bur he was afraid to hit me. I made them box. As I walked off I felt like a piece of trash. I went back and apologized and told the tall one that he could habmve beat me boxing just don't be afraid. I was about 5'3" he was near 6' the other was 5'8" and heavy. I told them I was an asshole and don't ever be afraid to fight. I never bullied another person. Not counting bullies.

Someone tried to bully me once in elementary school. Threw the kid into the chalkboard. Another guy tried to in high school. I flipped him over me. They always respect you if you fight back. For the most part, I keep to myself though.

Been bullied in high school after relocating from NYC to metro Atlanta.
