My male relative watches me as I sleep?

Should i confront him? The title basically describes the whole situation. My grandma owns a huge house and typically the house is FULL of family members generally speaking the younger girls sleep on the second floor. The older women and men sleep on the first floor. Our house gets flooded with all types of guests and male guests too so the only males allowed on the second floor are close male relatives (brothers, uncles…etc). I was sleeping with my female relatives. I wokeup from my sleep because i got a feeling i was being watched. It was dark and i opened my eyes and my male relative (who is allowed access to that floor since his sisters sleep there) had his head inside the door that we locked and he was just STARING at me from my head to toe he was just staring at my body and my face. I felt TERRIFIED and i got up on purpose to scare him away and he ran away. God knows what his intentions were and his sisters slept in that room with me as he was being creepy. I want to confront him but i’m scared. Should i? The whole situation is just making me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I feel like if i was alone in that room he would’ve hurt me and that makes me uneasy.

I was just remembering how my parents lived before they had me. Right before I saw your question I was thinking about it. It was 22 of them in one small house with 3 rooms only. And the rooms were small.

They also all slept in groups.

Hopefully soon You’ll be out of there. Work hard and study a lot! Save up and don’t spend it on unnecessary things. Then you can eventually leave faster than later.

When I was younger, I had an uncle that was just 4 years older than us and came to live with us.

He had a girlfriend.
And one day he came to tell me that his girlfriend was jealous of me.

I thought that was gross. I said why with a grossed out face. And he said because she went through my phone and saw your photo. And I said what? What photo? And he showed me.

It was me sleeping in my bed. Like fully asleep!
I was sickened. I said why do you have that? I felt violated. I told him to delete it and demanded to know when he took it and why?

He was just laughing trying to put his phone up in the air for me to be unable to reach it.

Then my cousins came in and I told them he had a photo do me sleeping!
And he says it’s normal! I have a photo of them sleeping too.

Trying to make it “okay”?
Nobody did anything.
Then he said he saw me makes through the window and proceeded to describe my body in detail. I was washing the dishes and my mom was outside and he was just sitting there on the breakfast table watching me as he told me this. I felt so gross I wanted to tell my mom but I felt ashamed. I was 16

That was many years ago.

Just a few weeks ago I saw him again and he was looking at my butt and told me I should go hide because someone was going to steal me away.

I felt gross yet again!

I don’t tell anyone because I feel nobody is gonna do anything.

In any case I still think you should at least address it and let it be known that you’re not comfortable with him watching as you sleep.
