Is it weird to call a guy that isn't my dad and that I'm not interested in "Daddy"?

I've kinda been wondering... This man is 41 and I babysit his 1 year old daughter. Everytime he walks in the room she yells "Daddy!" And I thought it was funny to do it as well so everytime I see him I yell "Daddy." And as of late when I talk to him I'll call him Daddy but I stopped recently now realising that it is kinda weird. I do the same to her mom and say things like "Mommy, my passie?" I still do it to her mommy... but now I think it's a bit weird to do it to her dad. It it weird?

Nothing weird about if unless there’s some some interest in him. But you said you’re not attracted to him. If you feel like he’s a good man, someone who you could look up to as a role model as far as what a man should be than I don’t see an issue w it. My stepdaughter calls me dad. I’ve been in her life since she was in 4th grade. You could talk to him tif you feel that way. I’m sure he’d be open to accepting you in that way if that’s what you’d like. I don’t know the current situation w your real dad. If you’re just joking around cause his daughter does it, I’m sure he knows it’s just you being funny. I’ve seen older women still call their father daddy. It’s not weird because you can clearly see in what way she means it. Whether it’s her dad dad or something g like a sugar daddy. You can tell the difference.

It could be weird because there can be an inappropriate context to this. Maybe no one sees it that way, but it's probably best to avoid it and avoid any uncomfortable situations in the future. Like, I'm pretty sure my wife doesn't want teenage girls calling me "daddy."

Calling him Daddy while talking in front of her is cool and makes sense but if you're calling him Daddy while talking to him when not around her, yeah, that's weird. For one, do you know how he interprets it, or feels about it? Or how the wife interprets and feels about it? How long have you known the family? As you're providing a service I personally would think it might be seen as inappropriate and unprofessional and would call them by their first name. I don't know you or the culture of where you live but the world is hypersexualised and Daddy has sexual connotations so you never know how others will view it. Hope this helps.

Sometimes in life you get to meet real people that allow you to be yourself around me and they understand you they understand that you're doing the same thing as a child's doing and it's fun it's cute it makes everybody laugh and happy and that's the best part about it I say be yourself be kind be happy and enjoy what time do you have with them because you'll grow up and probably move on but you'll always remember those things.

Lol, I thought so. I still do it to her mom/his wife, and she cracks up anytime I do it. Sometimes I mimic Bella and go "Mommy my passie." or do like Bella's brother Ezekiel and repetitively tap her saying mommy until I get her attention. She laughs anytime I do these things, and Isaac laughed when I did it to him. I just stopped because I took time to think about it and wonder if it was appropriate or not.
