Watching "Star Trek".
Do you like the spinoffs? TNG n DS9?
@DrPepper12 TNG is OK. After that, it was pretty lame. Once Roddenberry died, it went off-track.
Now that I am old, I appreciate the production, writing, and directing and MUSIC of Star Trek that much more. And it's maturity and civility.
The great mid-century TV music writers were very good for example Fred Steiner, Gerald Steiner, Lalo Schifrin (although I don't think he worked on ST.) Now, not so much. Star Trek had a lot of good leitmotifs that are more or less nonexistent today. Part of that was especially inserted into the design of the show. For instance, Roddenberry wanted each area of the ship to have its own distinct sound.
♥️♥️♥️♥️
I like anime/ manga. That's probably stuck with me even though I don't watch normally. Every now and again I'll go back and rewatch or reread something from my childhood. Oh, also pokemon. Every now and again I'll play one of the old pokemon games online.
Walking around the house and sleeping with only one sock on. Yeah I know it's weird too.
@Ez-Bri-Z_v2 There is a nursery rhyme about that isn't there? It is not the weirdest thing I ever heard of.
Playing outside in the dirty and growing things. lol

I'm a picky eater. Only over very specific things. I eat basically anything but my random childhood pickyness is still within me greatly at times. People are surprised by it usually
My love for things that lights up colorfully (Lightsabers, laser pointers, fireworks, firecrackers, glow sticks, toys, colorful lamps, etc.), certain music and masturbation.
I probably would still love to play with fire. But I got more hazardous when i got older. Maybe if I'm in a desert or some fire safe places, I would! I'd like to have a flamethrower.
I mean DIY flamethrowers with water pistols. I would love to try that something I never got to try. I just love burning things
Having windows open as often as possible. AC means hermetically sealed houses and I don't like that. I want the outdoor breezes and noises
Randomly hugging my mother and telling her,"I love you, Mama."
Bubble gum... an entire pack in my mouth so I could hardy close it and then making the biggest bubble ever!
LMFAO!!! Same!!! 😁
@DrPepper12 Cool! Only problem was I had really long hair and sometimes, the bubble would pop and it was a mess to get it out of my hair... but that never stopped me from attempting the next world's-biggest-bubble!!
I rocked the mullet. I feel you!
Fear for water in my face, not sleeping in a pitch dark room.
My love of museums
WHAT?
that is uncommon for a child !
@Maybe_Maybe_not you've never wanted to see dinosaurs as a kind? Imagine going to the natural history museum and stand next to the foils of giants that once ruled the land. Or go to the naval museum and see the massive cannons that used to shred up wooden ships back in the 1800s
I feel you, really, it's just that, when I was a kid, that kind of relation to History and imagination didn't inspire me, I didn't connect the dots. It inspired me much later though, when I connected the dots ;)
That's fantastic and another great thing about NYC - so many museums!!!
@DrPepper12 Nice though I grew up in London
skipping rocks in the lake.
You're NEVER too old for that!! Some of my best memories with my cousins!!
@DrPepper12 so true
Playing Nintendo lol
Crying
Thanks for enquiring ! 💜
It is not happening right now, and it is not happening that often really, I'm doing well. It's just... A wish of mine, a bit cheeky, offbeat given the context, but true ! A wish to register, with a very short answer, a powerful psychological sentiment.
On top of that, I like the cure that is The Cure :D
Aww thanks for the shout out. And ohhh... crying as your answer to this question. So sad yet so true.
I've cried too much this week lol
In fact reading a comic book yesterday even brought tear to my eye. Cos basically a sick boy in hospital adores the X-men so Nightcrawler arranges for Rogue, Gambit and Wolvie to visit him. It makes his day and they see how happy this kid is even though he is dying. He of course (as I imagine most teens wd) adores Rogue and as he touches her hand.. he seizures and dies. Which Wolverine knows is gonna happen like 5 mins before because of his keen senses...
Anyways sorry... I totally diverged from topic. But it's a beautiful thing that we can be moved and touched over so many things. Real or made up.
I am pretty emotional and empathic tho. And I work with dying elderly too so it adds to my philosophy of finding joy in life...
Awww good 🥰 I can ramble tho. My mind goes off down many avenues. Reason I chose philosophy for my degree lol
You said The Cure can be a cure... what sort of things can make you cry? Or at least feel emotional? Do u avoid those triggers?
Music is a powerful tool. Sometimes I want to cry so I will deliberately seek music that will make me cry...
@Crimsyjo I know you will seek music to feel, I have noticed and sympathized, actively :D
Sometimes I avoid the trigger, sometimes I register, sometimes I forget, sometimes I remember, sometimes I provoke.
What makes me emotional, near crying or crying, well, I've seen this happening with many things in life ! Video games, tv shows, books, textual conversations, questions asked on G@G, while taking pictures, while looking at the sky, while looking inside me, while... Ey, there's a lot hehe
Haha that's beautiful. And not meaning it the way it might sound... but from a man too! Considering there's an idea men don't feel and don't cry and don't show emotions like women.
Looking at beautiful scenery/sky etc doesn't make me cry. Makes me feel profoundly small and insignificant but in an awe type way. I love that feeling.
Aghh... films and books and people's stories yes! Esp if involving a child. Hits my maternal side hard.
@Crimsyjo There's this idea yes, and The Cure cracked this idea already, it's just that men may forget The Cure, because The Cure is not spreading the message 24/7 to each generation of men.
The way I see it, The Cure is a cultural and psychological weapon aimed at destroying, or at least undermining the whole system of educated emotional repression for boys, and the men that were boys. At least, I am weaponizing The Cure, as of now, convinced that The Cure agrees with my cause.
I relate to this awe, the momentary truth in insignificance of everything, I have this spirit (:
Most of my hobbies from childhood I still do.
Masturbation position.
Sports I love playing sports
Popping bubble wrap
Sleeping with a knife
Masturbating.
@laly520 Sleeping nude on couch
Jerking off
