For a long time I did not like kids but then you realize that it’s not the kids who are the issue, it’s the parents lol.

kids are gonna be kids. But parents aren’t always parents. Some of y'all let your kids act however way they want. No correction, no discipline… you don’t teach your kids manners, you let them make messes and destroy things that don’t belong to them, etc.

for example a lot of people would get annoyed at a child for running around and screaming in a restaurant when you’re trying to enjoy your meal. Understandable but kids run around and have fun , that’s what they do. We were all kids and we did annoying shit like that.
But why are the parents ALLOWING their kids to run around the restaurant? that’s the real question lol

so I’ve pointed my frustrations with parents rather than the child.
of course there are some cases where the parents do try their hardest and they just ended up with a brat of a child. But I believe 99% of the time, it’s the parents upbringing that causes them to be obnoxious.

You put that really well 👏 kids are going to be kids no matter what, but they need guidance from parents. It's unfortunate that the parents don't want to be bothered raising their kids. Rather they don't even pay attention to them and kids sense that and will act out just for attention even if it's negative attention it's still attention. I feel sad for the kids that try to get the parents give them attention.

I really didn’t like kids before having my own. Couldn’t stand babies the most. I had no maternal instinct or love for kids. Completely different now. I look at other peoples kids (the good ones) and think “Awww”.

Yes, children are great. I had the privilege of working in a nursery; they really brightened my days and made life less bleak.
