How much should I spend on my friends for Christmas?

I have lots of friends and not much cash. All will be expecting gifts. Is $30 ok for my casual guy friend, to buy his dinner and a drink for Christmas? $50 for my close guy friend, $20 each for my cousin’s sons, who are teenagers?

It’s not much, but I know so many people and I still have to have mum’s Christmas ring altered at the jeweller and my dad’s Christmas pants taken up and I’ve got family and friends interstate and overseas to shop and post for.

I budget generally £20 apiece ($25) to my friends, I spent £60 on my brother and will likely spend more on my mother for some high karat earrings
