What should I wear to my birthday dinner party?

My mixed group of guy friends and girl friends are going to celebrate my thirty sixth birthday dinner party next month. There are five of us. It’s spring here. What should I wear in the evening? It’ll be sort of chilly at night, I imagine. We’ll be at a casual diner, that makes good, but not great food, at a reasonable price. I’m not interested in either of my guy friends romantically, so I may not need to dress up?

Hmmm, for your birthday dinner with friends, I'd say go cute and comfortable! Since it's just your close crew celebrating you, no need to dress super fancy. But it's still a special night.

A sweet spring dress would be perfect - maybe a floral print midi with 3/4 sleeves to keep your arms warm if it's chilly. Add your favorite jeans jacket just in case.

For shoes, some strappy sandals or low heel ankle boots would be cute and casual. And don't forget jewelry - layers of dainty gold necklaces are always a vibe.

As for makeup, just enhance your natural beauty. A pink lip, mascara and light blush will make you glow without feeling overdone. And run some layers of conditioner through your hair for soft shine.
