Are we talking about dead famous people that we never had direct contact with or dead relatives, former colleagues, neighbors, acquaintances, etc?
A deceased person obviously has no ability to change their current/future behavior and actions. But if they are a family I try to avoid the negative talk. In fact it’s best not to talk about them at all.
But if they are an influential person that’s more complicated. I do wish “leaving neverland” was released while Michael Jackson was still alive. But releasing a documentary that he has no way to defend himself is different. .
Depends, it's usually rude to speak negatively of them, but on the other hand, you can't speak nice things about Hitler for example.
I agree with self-reflection quote, some people did very bad things to me, for no valid reason. Some of them were even my friends, at least I thought so.
Thanks for the MHO
I try not to ever speak ill of the dead, but some people really did crappy things.
@DrPepper12 Thank you for the MHO!
Maybe well depends on who dont want them haunting lol

If they were an asshole in life I usually say that it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. in some cases I have been known to leave one of my trademarks on their grave
Ouch!! Just watering the flowers...
I will continue speaking ill of Dick Cheney long after he is dead. I don't really care how dead people feel because they don't exist anymore.
I'll join you!! Dick was a dick!!
@Juxtapose When Gerald Ford died Dick Cheney was one of his pall bearers. As they carried Ford's casket out of the Capitol they walked in front of a very large mirror. i noticed that Cheney did not have a reflection.
@exitseven wouldn't that be more easily explained by trickery with recording rather than proof of the supernatural? Occam's Razor and all?
@exitseven great claims require great evidence. If I told you I had an alien in my backyard, you would want a fucking mountain of proof. That similar level of proof is what is needed here and there can be no room for doubt on this if you want to prove the supernatural.
In at least ninety percent of cases, yes, but there are folk without whom the world be FAR better.(The Moustachioed Madman, Mao, Stalin, Pinochet, Fujimori, Idi Amin, Milosevic and their mass murdering like).
Depends. For most, perhaps, but I have no problem with someone speaking ill of Pol Pot and his likes.
Yeah, like fuck Hitler and Osama bin laden
I try not to because they can’t defend themselves
depends lol
